Prime Minister Rama Hosts UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer / Cooperation Agreements Signed

Prime Minister Edi Rama today welcomed the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, on his first official visit to Albania, taking place in the framework of strengthening bilateral relations and strategic cooperation between the two countries.

British Prime Minister Starmer was welcomed with an official ceremony, followed by a tête-à-tête meeting between the two leaders, and subsequently, by meetings between the respective delegations.

In the context of this visit and the enhancement of cooperation between the two nations, the “Joint Declaration of the United Kingdom and Albania on Advancing Bilateral Cooperation on Common Priorities” was signed by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Nicholas Robert John Abbott.

Additionally, the “Declaration of Intent between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland regarding Defence Exports and Industrial Cooperation” was signed by the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Albania and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Nicholas Robert John Abbott.
